A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great site just off main road 25 euros a night free bottle of wine and water on arrival 3 course meal with wine or beer 19 euros each , and great service lovely people. Second time here highly recommend."
"Lovely place to stay, staff very helpful. Food was lovely - I was too early to have a swim in the pool but I guess I’ll just have to come back soon!"
"We wanted an overnight campsite and ended up here. We were completely surprised. With the very reasonable price, we were offered a bottle of wine and a bottle of water as compensation for any inconvenience caused by construction work on one side of the campsite. We didn't notice any of this, by the way. A beautiful, park-like campsite with open pitches, ample water and electricity hookups, neat and luxurious restrooms and showers, and a lovely, clean swimming pool with a terrace under the trees. But above all, a super good restaurant. Not with a camping snack menu, but a full three-course menu. And good!!! Again, a real surprise. One downside, though... Its location between the highway and a railway line. Ultimately, this didn't bother us, and we slept well. This campsite will be in our book!"
"Lovely campsite with pool, plenty of space on each pitch. It was a find your own pitch. We had a grassed electric pitch. Restaurant and bar very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good. Washing up area is in laundry room, no plugs in the basins unfortunately. Toilets/showers were OK, water hotter in the morning than the evening. Close to the road so there is road noise 24/7"
"Stopped overnight on way back to UK. Helpful staff, nice camper van pitch. Great value for €19:50 with power. Good restaurant with good food. Recommend this place."
"We stayed here for one night with a van and were very pleasantly surprised by the complimentary wine we received (the first and only time during our Portugal–Spain road trip!). The staff were extremely friendly, and the campsite is well maintained with spacious pitches. The price is reasonable for what they offer. Yes, the location is near the highway and train tracks, but the noise didn’t bother us. Just a heads-up: the showers have curtains, but it feels private enough, and the sanitary facilities are clean and well kept. Overall, we had a very positive experience here and would gladly stay again if the opportunity arises. Thank you, Quinta de Cavia!"
"We stayed overnight at this site, which had suffered with the rain but we were given free wine and water by way of compensation. It's by a busy road but very green and pitches in dappled light or full sun. The restaurant is lovely and is under 20 euros per head for a three course meal with house wine and water. Our waiter was lovely - he spoke very good English to us and engaged with politeness and a sense of humour. A recommended wayside stop."
"I’ve been travelling for 3 weeks. This place has been Best camping, best and cleanest facilities. Best food. And excellent service! I’ll come back this way on my way back. Fantastic. Thankyou."
